Keepsake Box Question

Hi! I am working on a keepsake box and have a question about the finishing touches on the underside of the lid.

In the past, I have worked with the Verdigris Gold Keepsake Box. It is nicely lined throughout the interior of the box, including the underside of the lid which also includes clips to fasten the mat/dome to the box. Very nice box-

The Cherry Keepsake Box that I am working on now is only lined on the bottom. This leaves the cherry color on the interior sides and lid. The set includes a black insert that goes into the rectangle slot on the top, however, there aren't any nice fasteners on this box to secure the insert/mat/dome. I have been brainstorming on attractive ways to secure the insert, but haven't come across any good ideas yet. Does anyone have experience with or have any ideas on how to nicely finish this box off? I am going to have to use fasteners of some sort to secure the insert/mat/dome to the box. Any atractive suggestions?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks and I hope everyone is having a great summer-

Hi, we also use the style 40 keepsake box. I have attached the backer board with just the regular turnbolts, then I run atg tape around the edge of the top lid. Jo Ann fabrics or any craft stores have sheets of suede in the scrapbooking section they come in assorted colors and look nice to finish the back.

I use this keepsake box and use tape to seal the dome to the backer board. Then add the black insert and attach it with the small brass turnbolts. It stays in place and looks finished, but can be re-openeed if needed.
